• Magnet Hire has a huge backline rental stock, which includes many rare and vintage guitar and bass amps, speaker cabinets, drums, keyboards and a host of other music equipment for rent in the studio or for recording and touring bands.

• Magnet Vehicle rentals supplies splitter vans (band vans) to hire, making us a one stop shop for all your tour supplies including transport.

• Based in Nottingham, Magnet Studios is without question the best music rehearsal studio complex in the Midlands and North of the UK. The rehearsal rooms are large, purpose built and acoustically treated.

What we do

• Magnet Studios caters for bands at all levels of the musical spectrum from local groups, and music teachers to international best selling artists.
  
  
• The studio has been used by modern luminaries such as Bloc Party, Six. by Seven, Pitchshifter, Iron Monkey and elder statesman including Dr & The Medics, The Searchers and Brian Poole & the Tremolos. It is also used by tribute acts such as the Commitments, Meatloaf 2 & Sack Sabbath. It has recently been used to film rehearsals for the 2nd series of TV's Rock School with Gene Simmons.

• Magnet Studios comprises 4 purpose built and tastefully decorated practice rooms with pa's.
  

• Personal lockable storage facilities are available.

• We are now offering a recording service. We have a 16 track Boss BR116 recorder. We can record anything from a 2 track live recording of your rehearsal to full 16 track recording. Sem Caputo is an engineer trained at Confetti Studios with experience in both live and studio arenas. Give us a call and discuss your requirements.  This recording device is also available for hire inside or outside the studio or we can record you live in concert.

• Magnets huge range of professional backline equipment for hire includes amps from from Vox, Marshall, Ampeg, Mesa Boogie, Orange, Fender, SWR and drum kits from Yamaha, Premier, Yamaha, Gretsch, Mapex. All our music equipment for hire is well maintained, fully flight cased and suitable for professional national and international touring and recording artists. Please see our client list.

• PA and lighting hire is also available locally.

• A shop selling strings, sticks, leads and other essentials is also situated within the studio. Customers can also use the relaxation area where refreshments are available.

• Backline and PA equipment, tour supplies, guitars gig bags, flight cases etc at discount prices. We have deals with Carlsbro Electronics, Jay Turser & Minarik guitars. Freestyle flight cases, Quicklock stands, Gator Cases, Horizon leads etc. An online shop will be coming soon. In the meantime please check our backline and PA pages for further details of stock.

• We are now offering a design and build guitar amplifier service. Have a guitar amp made to your specification. We can even have your name on the front. Choose your own colours, wattage, knobs, speakers, even down to your preferred resistors. Whether it is based on vintage American Fender, British Vox or Marshall or high gain modern amps we can build it. The amp will be hand made with point to point wiring. No modern circuit boards involved. We will provide a full after care service and year long warranty. So if you want a custom built guitar amp, that will last a lifetime, built to military specification at a price that will not break your wallet then give us a call.
